Is it time to throw the RAG in yet?

Is it time to throw the RAG in???

We definitely think so! We NEED some RAG in our lives.  What are we talking about?  RAG stands for "Retrieval Augmented Generation".  If you've used ChatGPT or any other Ai tools, you may have encountered some strange behavior.  Ai can often hallucinate, retrieve incorrect or outdated information.  Essentially, there are two important pieces to how Ai chats work.  One is you, the user who inputs a prompt or a query.  The second and probably the most mysterious is the almighty LLM.  An LLM stands for "large language model".  It is a mix of neural networks and massive amounts of data, yes! more than you can fit on your new SSD.  So where is the problem?  Well, retrieving a small piece of information from the largest databases in the world is like reaching in the ocean to grab that one special grain of sand.

Now with the implementation of RAG in Ai products, we can limit or filter the database it sources its data from.  If you asked Ai, who's birthday is it today?  It would have to answer with every humans birthday today that it knows about.  But what if you had a database with just your friends and family's information, and asked who's birthday is it?  It would respond in a way that is usable to you.  It would respond with which of your friends and family's birthday is today.  Let that sink in for a minute.

We know for a fact that you NEED some RAG in your lives.  We've also found the best way to do so.  By utilizing this unique chrome extension, that is also available as an app, or as a customized software for enterprise use.   So what can you do with it?  A whole lot!  Here are just a few use cases:

    1.  A student or researcher can be browsing the web, and interact with the contents of any website.  You an literally ask questions like in ChatGPT, but the answers will be from the contents of the website.   Additionally, you can go from website to website, highlight a paragraph or an article, click one button to add that information to your own personal database.  You can organize and label the data you captured.  Best part is now you can interact or ask questions to retrieve answers from within your collected data.

2.  You are hungry and in the mood for the best "chicken Marsala" you can find.  If you google search for a restaurant, you would have to go through thousands of reviews before you find reviews about the chicken Marsala.  What if you can just say "show me reviews with Chicken Marsala" and voila!

3.  You manage a real estate firm with thousands of properties in your portfolio.  If you uploaded all of your leases, contracts to your internal database.  You can ask things like "which leases are expiring this month?", or "show me properties acquired in the 4th quarter of 2021".

4.  Your company deals with lots of regulation documents that are renewed annually.   You want to ensure all employees refer to the latest guidelines for the current year.  If you inputted only the current years regulatory documents in your database,  your employees can ask anything and get a current, valid answer.

That's surely got to get your juices flowing.  We know! We know!  The real magic will happen when you are able to utilize this technology to save time, increase productivity, quality, and accuracy of work.  Use the link below to download a free trial of "WebChatter", no payment is required.  Be sure to let us know in the comments below what kind of cool things you did with "WebChatter"?
